There are various ways to ask people out.
The most causal way to ask people out is using “Let’s”, like I introduced in this video.
色々な誘う表現がありますが、この動画でご紹介した Let’s が一番カジュアルな方法です。
Or you could also say, ”Why don’t we go to a movie?”, or “How about going to a movie?”
Why don’t we ~? や How about ~ingなどを使った表現もあります。
If you want to be a little bit more polite, then you could say: Would you like to go to a movie?
もう少し丁寧な表現をしたい時には、 Would you like ~ ? が使えます。
As for the response, you could say “I’d love to.” Or “I’d love to, but I have to work overtime.”
お誘いを受けた時の返答は、「喜んで」を意味する “I’d love to.” または断る際は “I’d love to, but I have to work overtime.”
「喜んでそうしたいのですが残業しなきゃなりません。」などと断る理由を使うことで残念な気持ちが伝わります。
